Hello ladies! I am so happy to welcome you to my brand new advice blog, She Knows Best. This is a unique, new platform where ladies can ask for advice or share their dilemmas completely anonymously and women, just like you and I, can respond and share our tips, advice and words of encouragement anonymously in a safe, supportive online platform.
The concept of SKB is something that I have been dreaming about for a long, long time. I came to Dubai 9 years ago and I honestly cannot count the number of times I have felt lonely and needed advice in this vast and busy metropolis of a city. It is a very lonely place for some of us, and it is incredibly difficult to make meaningful friendships with other girls due to our busy lifestyles or hectic work schedules or even due to social anxiety that some of us may suffer from. I for one, know that my social anxiety and lack of confidence has inhibited me from forming and maintaining those sorts of female connections that I have so longed for.
So, out of this very personal experience – SKB was born. Throughout the past few months, I have been desperate for SKB to launch. In the past, I often used to worry that if something happened to me, nobody would even care that I had disappeared or not heard from me in a while. I used to panic when people would advise me to “ask a friend for a second opinion” because well…frankly I didn’t have anyone to ask. SKB is the best friend at the end of your fingertips instead of the best friend at the end of a phone call. SKB is a space where you can anonymously ask for advice or share a problem. SKB is a female community who will respond to you by offering you advice, points of view based on their own similar experiences and send you words of advice, support and encouragement.
Thank you for being a part of what I hope will provide many females the listening ear that so many of us deserve. For every moment of uncertainty, insecurity or doubt, there is a strong woman out there who is willing to see you, hear you, guide you. I know best, you know best and ultimately…She Knows Best.
